The overall objective of the program is to trial applications that are believed to be representative of what users will expect from future networks. This will expose Quality of Service issues, performance monitoring and control issues, and pointers to new types of network services that will be required. Apart from feeding into other ATcrc programs and projects, the results will provide valuable insight for future application developers and network operators.
