ITS have automated the process of adding allowed senders to ece1234-l@lists.monash.edu.au mailing lists.

It is a three step process

1. It requires adding a 'teaching commitment' for that unit.
2. Waiting until either roughly 8am or 1pm update of database.
3. Sending email from your official monash email address.
4. You will recieve a copy of the email back from the list (all staff with teaching commitments for a unit are members of the lists and will recieve a copy) after that I suggest you delete the teaching commitment unless you suspect you will send more email.

Feel free to teach the academics the above :)

It sounds messy but it works easily - you can use the https://my.monash portal or by going to the Modify Details website to update teaching commitment.

Modify Details website is http://mdsadmin.monash.edu.au/cgi-bin/modifymdsdetails Teaching Commitment is about half way down.

According to ITS all academics should be maintaining their own teaching commitment entries.
