Mammoth has disk problems

SCSI errors on host 1 channel 0 id 0 lun 0 - return code 2603000 SCSI1

Solution

Good question.

Dan believes it is the system disk that is having read/write errors. Pizza cluster members that haven't rebooted still have valid nfs mount of home directories, so users can copy off major source files for themselves.

What I don't seem to be able to locate at present is a copy of the mammoth /etc/fstab file or /etc/exports file. Will probably have to restore those from tape.

Actual solution was to reboot!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dan hates that. No problems since - so perhaps it was actually a scsi or disk access race condition.
