Create the new group projname
- groupadd projname
Add project members to the group
- gpasswd -a username projname
- Where username is one entry from the set of users in the group
Create the project directory
- mkdir /home/cvs/projname
Change the group ownership of the newly created directory
- chgrp projname /home/cvs/projname
Change permissions of the newly created directory
- chmod 2770 /home/cvs/projname
Initialise the CVS repository in the directory
- cvs -d /home/cvs/projname init
