Install IPv6Suite using RPM

Only choose this method if you are not adding or modifying the C++ source as no source files are installed. The header files are installed to /usr/include/ipv6suite. Libraries to /usr/lib and supporting files in /usr/share/ipv6suite. This change was done to allow users to build their own network topology outside of the IPv6Suite source directory.

NOTE If you are going to be doing more than just simulations with the existing code, like adding new protocols or debugging, we recommend you install IPv6Suite via the tar ball from the src.rpm and install it into your home directory (See MainProcedureIfYouDoNotHaveRootAccess? for instructions on tarball extraction from rpm).

ALERT! Please ensure that you have installed the prerequisite support software packages first, see Trash.Main Procedure If You Have Root Access? before continuing. Failure to do so can lead to frustration.

Then install the generated binary rpm.

For instructions on setting up your own network in your user directory and building it successfully you can do rpm -qi ipv6suite after installing the generated binary rpm (or using the downloaded source package rpm -qip ipv6suite-xxx.src.rpm).
